Beyond Gay: Politics of Pride

Synopsis: Filmmaker Bob Christie takes his cameras around the globe to document the struggle for gay equality in places where coming out of the closet can get you thrown into a cell. In places like San Francisco and Sao Paolo, gay pride marches take on a celebratory atmosphere. When a gay pride parade in Eastern Europe is shut down by authorities, however, the organizers are forced to get creative in order to spread their message.
