Casting a shadow over everything is the city's largest company, Avalon, which insinuates itself into every aspect of contemporary life. When a promising young scientist is kidnapped, hard-boiled detective Barthelemy Karas (voiced by Daniel Craig), a cop who has a reputation for finding anyone at any cost, is put on the case.
