Synopsis: A bus hijacking has fatal consequences in this film that delves into the tense relationship between the neighboring countries of Albania and Greece. When an Albanian man with weapons in hand takes over a Greek bus, he asks for money and safe passage back to his home country. As he holds the passengers hostage over a 20-hour period, events descend into disaster. Based on a 1999 incident, HOSTAGE (OMIROS) was an official selection at the Berlin International Film Festival.
